Certified Nurses Assistant - Please Note: Spring 2010 CNA Class is Full This course prepares the students to care for the sick and elderly under the direction of a Registered Nurse (R.N.). It is an entry-level paraprofessional position in the health care field. Complete this program and become a state Certified Nurse Assistant, carrying out basic nursing functions. CPR training is included. At course end, students will take the state registry exam. Classroom instruction is held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. for 16 weeks. Class held at Lyman Hall High School. Scheduled clinical sessions from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at a state licensed nursing home. The fee for the state registry exam is included in tuition cost; however, tuition does not include physical exam, uniform and required textbook. A pretest and interview are required for acceptance into this program (see below for details).
