Tri-Town Collaborative
The Tri-Town Collaborative program is a project for out-of-school youth between the ages of 17 to 24, without a HS diploma, who need additional time to explore career opportunities, strengthen academic skills and prepare for an occupation. The program offers a number of services such as:
- Academic and career assessment
- Tutoring (math and English)
- Job shadowing and job internships
- Support for English language acquisition
- Career counseling
- Transportation assistance for grant-related activities
- Driver safety and driver education training
- Enrollment in a Connecticut Community College
- Computer training for employability purposes
- Connection to Department of Labor and CTHires
- Support for occupational preparation and national certification in areas such as:
- Certified Nurse Assistant
- Medical Assistant
- Automotive Technician
- Computer Specialist
- Veterinary Assistant
This program is supported by Title I of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and the South Central Connecticut Workforce Development Board.
